“Weighting to Downsize” presented by Heather Reichert, RD, LD, CDE

Medical Fitness Pros and Educate Your Plate will be hosting a health and wellness discussion about how you can maximize your weight loss and optimize your health.  You will learn the nutrition basics that are instrumental to understanding why we gain and lose weight.  Also, we will explore why nutrition plays such an instrumental role in an effective exercise/fitness program.

Heather is a registered and licensed dietitian committed to providing personalized nutrition care and meal planning. Because of her regular exposure to individuals with diabetes, she obtained additional certification as a Diabetes Educator. Heather enjoys helping individuals obtain their goals by incorporating realistic dietary changes into their lives.

A few years after starting her career in the hospital setting as a clinical dietitian, she was offered the opportunity to work with a group of OB/Gyn physicians where she was responsible for the nutrition care of their patients, including gestational diabetes, weight management, diabetes and high cholesterol. In 2006, she began her consulting business, Educate Your Plate, which provides nutrition services and diabetes education to individuals in the Fort Bend County area.

She provides one-on-one counseling with continued support and encouragement through follow-up sessions. She will work with you to tailor a program that meets your nutritional needs and goals.
